India's new head coach, Gautam Gambhir, has faced a setback after Jonty Rhodes' name for fielding coach was rejected by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Rhodes, a renowned fielder, had previously worked with Gambhir at the Lucknow Super Giants. Despite this, the BCCI is keen on an all-Indian support staff for the national team.
