MS Dhoni’s renowned helicopter shot was taught to him by his childhood friend Santosh Lal. They played cricket together in Ranchi and worked for the Railways. While Dhoni achieved global fame, Santosh stayed at the state level. In 2013, despite Dhoni’s efforts for advanced medical treatment, Santosh succumbed to pancreatitis.
